I wonder what the PTB system is?

shee-it that's less than a CV Strat and probably a higher quality. If I had any to try around here, I would but thankfully I do not. Don't need to spend any more money than I already have.

According to Premium Guitar, "What it is: A variation on the two-band tone circuit that Leo Fender created late in his career for G&L guitars. It employs two tone pots: One cuts highs like a conventional tone control, while the other filters out lows. PTB stands for “passive treble/bass.”

A friend has a Tribute Fallout and it's a really well made guitar. I want them to make a Tribute Doheny in 3-tone sunburst with a tortiose guard and a rosewood fretboard with block inlays!

Two things that stood out to me on the SDOTD: (1) The body wood listed is "Nyato." From The Wood Database, it's a wood found in "India through Southeast Asia to the Philippines, New Guinea, and the Western Pacific Islands." (2) The neck is maple with a Brazilian Cherry fretboard. Both of these are new to me. I don't have a clue as to how well they are made into guitars.
