It happened to me the other day, too. First time I've run out of characters and I've been here since day one or two.

It happened to me, too. I wrote a review of the KLŌS guitar and had to scrub it due to the character limit. I couldn't prune it down and still have it make sense. Maybe I'm just too wordy.

I am starting to think that this thread has potential to be one of those delicious threads that start as a trivial FAQ and evolves out to become several pages of off topic breezeshooting.

    I love them.

Hey, guys: btw (serious question) how do you prepare your Thanksgiving Turkey? Do you simply put it in the oven with seasonings or do you pour honey, syrup and/or pineapple rings, figs and other stuff on it?

    How to prepare a Turkey?

I go up to him and tell him, "Now, Mr. Turkey, you've been sentenced to death. It won't hurt much. Just be ready!"

I rinse off the turkey, pat it dry, rub a little oil on it, sprinkle on some salt and pepper then cook it in a 325F oven until the thigh is 185F. I cover the breast area once the skin is browned to try to keep the breast meat from getting dry. The dark meat is the best part, anyway.

Boring, but the turkey came out great yesterday.

Sergio, why don't you just pack up and move here? You're getting to be more american than most of us, LOL! Regardless of what you may see or read, you'd be welcomed here. You can stay at my place until you get settled.

I asked that because down here we do use all those things on our turkey, but we actually eat it on Christmas Eve. The recipe with honey (sometimes corn syrup) and fruit is popularly called California Turkey here, so I wanted to know if you guys actually ate it like that. No big deal.

Oh and I can't move anywhere. I'd miss the Feijoada.

Sergio, you living in Brazil I have question. On another forum there is a post showing what must be 500 guitar in a pile saying authorities are arresting street buskers and taking their guitars and throwing them away. I found the photos and attached them. Seems to me news like this would have traveled far if something like this happened. I would like to know if there are local laws that prevent people street busking so I can comment. I left a short comment already indicating that doesn't seem correct but since I have no idea reading laws outside the U.S. I can only guess. IMO, the photos appear to be at a factory where something happened to ruin production.

I can’t see the images but no, brother. As far as I know, there are no such laws. Maybe some cities have local laws in that sense but even so, the authorities wouldn’t be allowed to do that with their instruments. Our constitution wouldn’t allow that to happen.

Street musicians are everywhere, they’re free and most of the times appreciated.

The obvious limitations are related to volume and place (you can’t do it near hospitals, schools or other places that need silence).

    We’re still a free country :)

I went to the other forum, posted corrected information and asked that the thread be locked or deleted for being fake news. Minutes later it was locked so it could not go on.

Baked with chili poured over it.

Mashed with black pepper. The next day if any are left over mix an egg in it with some diced onions stirring into a batter. Then fry them up into potato cakes.

Potatoes? I like them fried, baked, boiled, mashed, in gnocchi, in casseroles, with steak, by themselves, with cheese, chives, and sour cream. Salt, butter. I love potatoes.

What are Chives? Does it have anything to do with Chivas Regal? I don't drink Scotch. I'm a Bourbon man.

P.S. Seriously, I am. No Scotch for this rocker.

Why ages ago, when I got out of the army and returned to society [that was weird] I auditioned for a blues band in Ft. Worth. They needed a second guitar and a backup drummer. There, in the club after they closed was when they "tried me out". I was given a drink to loosen me up. Was told it was a genuine bluesman's drink. Very tasty, and a couple did indeed loosen me up! It was Scotch and Dr. Pepper. Been drinking that ever since when I feel the urge for a shot.
And yes, I got the job too.

Speaking of bacon... it reminds me of coffee.

We don’t use coffee creamers or half and half cream here. We normally pour milk on it like they do in France.

But I wanted to try it and ordered this. Just got it and liked it a lot.
