    I just found this out a few minutes ago. It was reported that Ed had a heart transplant in 2017, and was fighting cancer at the time of his death.

    For me when Lemmy died it was like that gate opened for artist to return to heaven. It's been consistent ever since.

    I wasn't much of a Skynyrd fan, although their songs were instantly recognizable. But on reading the story, I learned that Ed King was a member of Strawberry Alarm Clock. I still own the "Incense And Peppermints" album!
