The Weekly Sunday Thread For August 19, 2018

I'm hoping for a lazy, perhaps rainy Sunday today. I pulled out my Classic Player Telecaster yesterday and with it, went on a deep exploration of my AMPLIFi 30, tweaking settings and sampling some of the built-ins. I know a lot of folks like the traditional amp+cab+pedal arrangement, but I'm just thrilled with the sounds I can achieve by just tapping a button or two!

Tomorrow is the date I have set on my calendar. Jeff Beck with special guest Ann Wilson at Wolf Trap Farm Park. And I have an orchestra ticket!

Last night we had fun at my wife’s 50 year class reunion where we had fun with a banquet hall full of old people and listened to a band I’ve helped out a time or two on bass.

Today looks to be a beautiful, sunny day here on the Wisconsin Lake Michigan shore so we’ll be on the Harley and cruising to breakfast, coffee and friends before an afternoon of enjoying the sun on the bike.

Annie Wilson is killing it on this tour. You're in for a great show.

I bought one of these on sale. Makes vacuuming a little less sucky.

It's finally cooler and drier here. The temp shouldn't get above 70 today. Maybe I'll mow the lawn.

Took the usual road trip to João Pessoa yesterday for the weekly rehearsal with the band. I didn't like how my red strat sounded through the rig and the Marshall stack I'll be using, so I guess I'll be tweaking a bit this week.

Woke up late and feeling weird, then remembered that I hadn't taken my pills yesterday (blood pressure control). Damn... Well, took them and now I'm feeling better, having my 5th cup of coffee and gathering strenght to load the car, grab a burger somewhere and hit the road on the way home.

later I'll attend a Cabruera show, it's a local band I really dig.

I gave the car a bath and did a good job of wax and detail.

Went on an hour long bash out on the freeways and tollways one last time.

I feel bad for the guy in the Challenger Scat-Pac, his girlfriend is probably still mad at him.

My work clothes are in the washer in anticipation of another powder your nards its so hot week on the Texas coastal pain.

    Y'all be well my friends.

    What happend?
Who let the magic smoke out?
