Custom Vibrolux vs. 68 Custom Vibrolux reissues- Tone differences?

Has anyone out there played these two reissue amps side-by-side or had any experience with them enough to discern any tonal differences? It has been my understanding that the higher-wattage 1968 (and a few years after) Fender "silverface" amps were basically repackaged Blackfaces, so I don't see how a '66 and a '68 would sound any different. In producing reissues I can understand someone preferring the looks of one year over another. And, I could see why Fender would just use the same components in them.

Component-wise, and sound-wise, are these two amps any different?

I think they're entirely different amps, and neither one is actually a "reissue". They're not making the original Custom Vibrolux anymore, are they?

Wow, good catch, Don. I just left Fender's website and there is no mention of the original Custom Vibrolux, only the '68 Custom Vibrolux. I wonder if these are the same amp, only repackaged as a Silverface?
