    our own strat!

The Fender Forum stratocaster with custom parts built in mex or us. I'd like to own a forum strat. I was way to late for the FDP strat, damn close to a g&L LE ASAT. waht do you guys think?

I know the jemsite site is starting and some talk at the jackson charvel forum too.

I can tell you right now based on the size of this forum now and in the near future there is no way Fender would do it. And if there would come a time there was enough demand I can't imagine MIM doing a Custom, it would be a US one probably.:tw59

I'm pretty sure that Fender would do it, IF you were willing to pay enough. They'll engrave/build anything that you want, for a price.

I read that Fender Japan would make a run of as little as 5 guitars. I think all you had to do was spec it out, & pre-pay.

After the LPF Les Paul forum gtr idea crashed and burned, I don't feel like putting myself through that again. I think we need a bigger member base before it could be considered a feasible project. If someone else wants to take on the headaches involved with a project of this magnatude, you are a glutton for punishment!

Ok I will machine up some Unoffical Fender Forum Lentz neckplates. Place orders through me. Comes with a G&G poodle case, and TFF logo polish cloth! ;)

Scott you ready to work Sundays? :lol2

Better yet how about a Mondocatto Tele? ;)

    I agree

it might be alot of work, but I'd be willing to take part. My dad would too. He acually got #7 GBL_LE and gave it as a gift to an old music teacher that plays with a garage band called the remains. he acually didn't spend too much for it, but he didn't have to go through the hassles the guys managing this project would go through.

I think it's alot easier with a strat, especially MIM- well built guitars. I seems to be cheaper to get a custom MIM strat than to get a gibson les paul made custom(imagine how much that would cost...unless you were getting it made my samick under the epi name...eww).

This place is gonna grow big as hell. FDP size.....maybe...for the eighth day, we're no doing so bad.

That crash-and-burn was kinda sad, especially given the work and thought you guys were putting into it...

What's the deal with the LPF forum guitar? What happened with Gibson? What was it going to look like?

    Thanks :)

If memory serves me correctly, those who know better feel free to jump in here, it was basically an R8 with features like the 2002 R9's. More attention to accuracy, and a price tag that wouldn't buy a small country. I may be off, though...

Ooohhhhh, so THAT's it. Did they turn it down becuase they didn't want to make R8s that were really R9s? Price? Oh well, that's Gibby for ya. :)

I think they just didn't want to put the effort into a limited run, but I'm sure they came up w/ some other reasons
