it does look weird.
on the other hand, I wonder what the string tension feels like. I never properly got to check it on the lefty strat I owned for a while there, as I tried to teach myself how to play southpaw. I played it upside down a la Dick Dale (but I sure didn't sound like him) so I didn't get the long E and A strings.
I'll never really dig these upside down headstocks.
It's ok to build a lefty for the lefties, but a guitar that looks/feels like a lefty to a right-handed guy? hmmm no.
I have a righty Strat neck I plan to put on a lefty body some day. A buddy gave me the neck, and it holds a lot of sentimental value for me. The owner previous to my friend tried to “age” the maple fretboard with oil, so it looks rough. So I’m going to put it on a natural body. I had it on a lefty body for a while and got used to the upside down headstock. I’ll probably put it on a Warmoth Tele Deluxe body.
If we'd known we were going to be the Beatles, we'd have tried harder.--George Harrison
Reverse 70's head stock. Sitting in stand makes it look weird.
I like it!
