    Seasick Steve guitar tone

I'm playing through a Telecaster or a Stratocaster through a blues deluxe or a blues junior. Im pretty certain that my gear will not make this tone. Which overdrive/ Klon pedal will make this guitar tone? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpentnrOvBs

Go back and edit it. Highlight your text and change the color to white or some other very light color. Not sure why that text went the color it did by default.

Thanks. For some reason the site chose the font color?

I don't know how that works. The site uses a default font for most people that is see-able. I changed it one time to white, and it's stayed that way in my posts.

You might get close, but it’s my understanding that he uses “junk” guitars and other esoteric gear. That’s not to say you can’t get close, but you’re going for “nasty” and not what most people would consider a good or “classic” tone. Got any fuzz pedals or gnarly OD’s? You won’t need much distortion from the pedal, you’re going to use it more like a filter.

How do you mean "use it as a filter"?

It is humbling to watch him do his thing using his gear. I've watched a couple of his concerts on YouTube. Worth the time.
