First In With the Sunday Thread

For a day with nothing to do, I seem to have quite a bit to do.

First, there's breakfast at the volunteer fire department (they put on a great spread, and it's all for a good cause). Then church, then lunch at my favorite place, a get-together with friends this afternoon, and (I hope) quiet evening at home.

    You?

I’m driving back from Nashville a little later this morning. Lots of flooding in Tennessee. The interstates are a mess. Yesterday I saw 10 wrecks on my two hour drive up here. Hung out with my mom and son. Bought some bass strings for the Rickenbacker at World Music.

Keep your fingers crossed for me. I hate driving home in heavy rain.

I'm heading out for that Sunday Bloody Mary and breakfast followed by a few cups of java with our group of friends. Hopefully it will have stopped snowing so I can get out the shovel and clean everything up again.

a couple inches of Rain predicted here so I plan on doing laundry and hanging out. Maybe dust off the treadmill and start using that again, too.

It's a rainy Sunday. My daughter is in town, my nephew's birthday party is today and I have amps to work on.

On call for my hospital all weekend... +/-22 hours left on duty. If they leave me alone I'll clean up house and play a little guitar, if...

soaking rainy morning here, non-stop since I got up. new neighbors are finally done with the renovations and are moving stuff into the house next door outside my bedroom window. Moving in the rain is a special level of suck i feel sorry for them.

i've had an unusually productive morning and that's enough of that shit. Time for some lunch and then who knows. I need to go for a walk and don't feel like showering just to go to the gym and get all sweaty again. Might go to the mall instead, along with 30 thousand other people.

I've spent too much money lately and now somebody puts some JBL LSR305s on sale 2 for 180 dollars. Might wait for a better deal as these are probably going to be discontinued in the near future.

Sunny morning and mild weather here after a hell ofa summer tempest two days ago.

Picked up the Washburn and the SG this morning for some strumming and will spend the night at my GF's, we'll cook a lasagna and have a glass of wine.

No work until wednesday, so I'm taking my time and having a well deserved rest.

Pretty mild in the Deep North today - just below freezing and we got hit with about 3 hours of freezing drizzle this afternoon - more crystal-like than sheet ice, so not too bad. Still many weeks away from actual spring weather, tho.

I'm on my friggin' SIXTH weekend in a row suffering either from flu, pneumonia or some after effect of pneumonia. Haven't slept lying down for 30 days now. Sucks!!!! Two courses of antibiotics early on, then on steroid inhalers this past week and now on a short course of prednisone and still suffering from excessive coughing and shortness of breath. Have an appointment and tests with a respirologist tomorrow morning, so hopefully we can get to the bottom of this. My GP referred me and this specialist seemed overly eager to see me right away - guessing I might be a stumper of a case.

All I want is to stop coughing, to breathe easy and to lie down to sleep. And not in a coffin!
