If you could have a guitar of one of your favorite musicians, what would you choose?
My choice is predictable. Being a lefty, I’d gladly take McCartney’s Rickenbacker 4001s. Sgt Pepper/ Wings Over America. Wouldn’t even need a second thought.

If we'd known we were going to be the Beatles, we'd have tried harder.--George Harrison
My favorite artists modded their guitars so much that I wouldn’t want those for myself (Page’s Lesters and Keith’s Micawber).
I’d happily have a 54 Blackguard if it was all Stock, though
I haven't a clue. I will never sound like my favorite guitar players, so having one of their guitars would be of little benefit to me.
I do like the look of the late Alvin Lee's ES-335...
Warren Haynes firebird...!!!
I wore out my copy of the Thick as a Brick album when I was a teenager. It's my favorite Tull album, and its lyrics made a lasting impression on my brain and has influenced my way of thinking, as much as any good book has.

Probably Clapton's Beano Les Paul (and amp) and/or the Strat he called Brownie. I keep going back to Clapton! It's not intentional!

Willie's Trigger..
hard to say. I was just talking about EC's Brownie elsewhere. I know a lot of people worship his Beano LP tone but that's never going to happen again. Brownie is much more likely to be a feasible candidate for matching. I can't imagine playing a guitar so much that it actually had to be retired because it couldn't be refretted one more time. I've never played any guitar so much that it needed to be refretted even one time. I will say that I put some pretty good wear on the original neck of my CV50 tele. It could use a level and crowning, but not quite ready for a refret yet.
Willie Nelson's Martin N-20 nylon-string classical acoustic guitar. Named after Roy Rogers' horse.

Hahaha I was thinking that you were referring something about our friend Willie.
I'd pick Greeny... not that I would be able to make it sound like any of the previous owners though!?
