Is Silverburst Acceptable For A Fender Guitar?

I couldn't decide whether to post this in Telecasters, Stratocasters, or both. So, taking a Hobson's Choice, I'm posting here.

    May it please the court:

They are priced identically ($1,449). Both have a bridge humbucker pup and both have an ebony fretboard. I'm not so sure on the HSS (Strat) or HH (Tele) configuration (as well as the four pots instead of three), but the ebony fretboard has me drooling. But the color? I dunno. Opinions?

(Edited to add: You know, the more I look at the Tele, the more I think it would sound like a Les Paul. Am I overboard?)

A Tele with WRHB's sounds nothing like a Les Paul. It's a nice sound, but WRHB's are unique.

The shorter scale and set neck of the Les Paul, along with the maple cap are what make a Lester a Lester. The longer scale of the Telecaster puts the sparkly highs in to the sound. Add in the punch of a bolt-on and you have a totally different instrument, even unplugged.

I believe there is no such thing as an unacceptable color for a guitar.

I usually don't like the color, but I think it looks great on these guitars. I'm especially drooling over that Tele.
