    artificial aging

Anyone know who to make a strat look older, that strat up top this page looks sweet. I havn't played my squire strat in a while...my AmSe tele takes up most of my time, but I would like to change the appearance just so it feels like it's really old. any tips.

    thanks in advance

I know what NOT to do: don't use that gum freezer stuff on your guitar finish. It will cause random checks in the lacquer & end up looking hideous like all those poor "relics" you see at GC. The freezing/warming process must be uniform. BTW a poly finish will not age like a nitro finish.

Bingo. Don't even try it. If it's your thing, sell it and put together a clone, finish it in pure Nitro, then age it.
