    Burgers

So, I just ordered two spicy sausage cheeseburgers and thought I'd ask:

How do you like your burgers? I am a burger lover and try all types of fillings and seasonings, but the good old salad cheeseburger with lots of Jalapeño is my all time favorite.

It depends... but I definitely enjoy a hearty flavorful juicy burger fresh off the grill... Too many variations to list.

Really love Shish Kebab too but that's another topic...

You cannot claim R&R bona fides until you've had the burger Garbage Plate at Nick Tahou's, preferably after 1:30AM.

Oh boy... Some of the very best burgers, pizza and coffee I've had in my life were late nighters, after gigs or even bar crawling with friends.

If you're ever at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, do yourself a favor and walk across Ridge Road from Lambeau's parking lot and catch a burger at Kroll's West. I used to play in their parking lot for all Green Bay Packers home games and had been familiar with Kroll's burgers going back to the early '60s when we'd grab a burger at Kroll's (East) after a gig at the Picadilly or Club Sahara in Green Bay. The Kroll's hamburger is considered legendary in Northeastern Wisconsin.

    Re: Burgers

When it comes to burgers (and hot dogs) I'm in the minority. I love a plain burger or dog on a bun - nothing on it but meat and bread. If it is done right it is a magical thing. I'm most particular of hot dogs - I worked 3 summers in a hot dog factory so I know what is edible and what is not...

    Re: Burgers

Depends on the day. Sometimes a plain burger, just a bit of stoneground mustard is the way to go, other times a bit more complicated.
Be it something with chipotle peppers mixed in the meat, caramelized onion, mushroom, any of a variety of cheese - aged cheddar, blue, brie, etc, will do well.
I've fairly recently been introduced to the wonder that is an over-easy fried egg on a burger. I thought for a long time it was gross sounding, but when I tried it.... YUM!!!!!

    Re: Burgers

I had one of those eggs on a burgers and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. I was so stuffed by the time I was done. It is very seldom I eat that much anymore. I don't recall any unpleasantness afterwards so maybe it was as much as I thought it was.

Yep - that's a small batch soda brand made in my very hipsterish neighborhood - Cream Soda (clear, not pink). Good stuff. I don't drink soda hardly anymore, but when I do it's H&V.

    Hey, brothers!

Here's something I just made myself for lunch. A homemade knuckle burger

Made the sandwich with brioche buns, Dijon mustard and salad.

Nothing fancy, but tasted very good!

It's a grill designed to be used on top of a stove. Very practical and fast. They are very popular here in this neck of the woods.

    Re: Burgers

The best burger in our local area is found in Green Bay at Kroll’s East and West, and at Basil’s II (near Denmark, WI) also part of the Kroll’s family.
