    Monterey Strat

Now, this is something I'd try.

I dig the idea of a tribute instrument (not the entry-level "tributes" Gibson makes)...

This tribute is the quality of the MIM Special Player level, using similar parts and construction. Adding the fancy paint and the payment to the Hendrix estate adds $100 to the cost of a good Special Player Strat. I can understand the interest.

I meant that I dig the idea of a tribute to someone or a particular event, and mentioned that I don’t fancy the 70s, 50s and whatever tributes Gibson makes. Not that this one is anything extraordinary. I like the vibe, that’s all.

I like the idea too, Sergio. My first Fender Strat was a MIJ 68 reissue--big headstock and white. I don't play like Jimi, but I liked the vibe.
