I just bought a 2019 Gibson Les Paul Standard '50s. The local GC had it listed in fair condition because the finish was sanded off of the back of the neck and the pickguard was missing. The neck is beefy like I like them and it weighs less than 9 pounds. It's a great looking, playing, and sounding guitar. The only issue is that it's almost identical to my Heritage H150!

Yes! Here's a pretty poor pic that I took last night. The Heritage is a nicer color, though this pic makes the Les Paul's burst look a more extreme than it is. It really is a nice looking guitar. Notice the dark rosewood fretboard on the Gibson and the reddish rosewood on the Heritage.

Unplugged, they sound almost identical, the biggest difference is the big neck on the Gibson. Plugged in, I give the Heritage the edge, I think due to it having an awesome set of Mojotone '59 Clone pickups with alnico 4 magnets. The Gibson has the original Burstbucker 1&2 pickups in it.

Odds are very slim that I'll keep them both.

That Gibby is a beaut, Don!

Reminds me of my own '78 Les Paul Standard......

The good thing about it being a 2019 is that if you want a pickguard, it’s easy to buy one anywhere and just throw it in.

Nice! I like to have a Les Paul for when I want a Les Paul, but am not really a Les Paul guy.

No guitarist's "toolbox" is truly complete without one.

It's a heavy sumbitch for sure (about 13 lbs) but it plays like butter and sounds as tasty as bacon frying.

No pic, but picked up a locally made instrument stand made out of a bourbon barrel. Either my Resonator or Banjitar has a new home.

A possibility. Fender CS 50s Tele Thinline. Sorting a Duncan Antiquity neck and NoCaster bridge. Feels and play great.

I was hoping to get some love on that.
Anyways it sounds phenomenal through my Fractal rig. It gets stage time tomorrow.

Black on Black, all pardons. I love that Tele, and I meant to say it but covid's been a little bitch.

Being a lefty, it's difficult for me to find one of those, but i sure wish Fender would do an mim run of them for southpaws.

So, I very much admire your Tele. I hope it proves to be a favorite.

That's really cool! I have my first semi-hollow Tele (I Thinline with 2 WRHs) and think that I may have been missing out on something all these years and may want another with a more traditional pickup setup.

Well 1st live gig with it went excellent and it not only excelled, but also inspired me. Can’t ask more from a guitar than that.

I've been enjoying the Clapton CD The Lady In The Balcony so much that when I found the DVD for sale, I snatched it up. Watching Clapton up close and personal in a living room setting is almost as good as being there.

I just received a variable boost footswitch for my Dr. Z Cure amp. The amp came with a boost footswitch, but they came out with a new design that has an LED on it.

Hmm. I’ll keep in mind. I was thinking on going pearloid or clear back painted silver flake.

I don't know if it counts as 'bought,' but last fall friends of mine got a random shipment from Amazon with an Eventide Blackhole pedal in it. None of them play, and when they talked to amazon they said it was paid for as normal, shipped to the correct address etc, so they could keep it or whatever.
So yesterday was the first time we saw them since then, and they gave it to me. |Haven;t had much chance to explore it, but the few minutes I did get to plug it in sounds great and seems to have a lot of flexibility. Can't wait to dig further into it.

It's a reverb, but \not just a plate, spring etc. |It's based off one of the sounds in the H9, I gather, just separated into it['s own pedal.
You can tweak just about every parameter, and save it etc. I've barely scratched the surfaces so far.

I just bought a JHS Emperor & am waiting for delivery. It's a pretty cool chorus w/a lot of options.
I'm now trying to decide between a Strymon El Capistan & a Wampler Faux Tape Echo for my delay needs

I've got the El Capistan, and I lalso bought their Lex (leslie pedal). It's hard to beat the El Capistan for features.

On my bass board, I've got an MXR Carbon Copy. Great delay pedal too.

I was going to say something witty like that’s to custom shop guitars in 1 month, but heh it’s Jun 1 so a new month. Today is also my dogs BDay (yes he already got a present). I’ll name it after him, Ringo.

I went with the El Cap. One popped up on Reverb & was affordable. More than the Wampler, but what the heck. As you said, great features. I'll buy a Wampler for my secondary board. Or maybe the Echoplex EP103
