Yellow Jacket YJC in Tweed Champ

I am on my second Yellow Jacket YJC for a Mojo tweed champ kit.

The amp works fine with 6V6, no real complaints.

The Yellow Jackets both have crackled with higher levels of out put. Crackles with the frequency of the note.

    Thoughts?

Are the Yellow Jackets that you have designed to be used in cathode biased amps? Do they sell different versions for fixed bias and cathode biased amps (Forget that- I just looked it up. The YJC is for cathode biased amps).

Is it possible to monitor the plate dissipation when a Yellow Jacket is used? Is the tube red plating?

I had an Ampeg Jet reissue that crackled when a screen grid resistor failed. Do the Yellow Jackets have a screen grid resistor in them?
