The box, the itch, the madness

I now know there is no cure, only ways to medicate.

If I scratch the box, can I smell what is inside?

Oh Man, I fell off it this time.

Funny story, scheduled delivery was next week.

Mrs. Gator called me at work today to let me know there were two boxes on the porch.

I honestly thought there was more time to work my dastardly deeds into conversation.

Definitely thinish vintage style frets, forget the measurement.

12" radius with a nice medium depth to it.

Nice! I have a Rosewood/Wenge neck on my #1 P bass, going on 17 years now!!! I polished the back out to 2K sandpaper, then to 0000 steelwool! I've never had to do anything else to it besides clean it once in awhile. The bass is a sustain monster!!! IDK if it's the wood combo, or Warmoth sprinkled some magic fairy dust on it... IDC because that neck is SOLID AF. So stable, etc. I really can't say enough good things about it. All I can say is that I hope you enjoy your neck as much as I love mine.

Best of luck to you on your project!

    Thanks Chuck.

Normally when I start a build I've got an idea where it's going.

    This time not so much.

    Metallic kandy green?

Totally my own opinion but a neck that attractive would look really great with a body that is equally so. A strong-grained wood like ash (stained or unstained but natural finish) or something similar.

Honestly Dan, I haven't the slightest idea!!! LOL Wenge is an extremely strong wood. I've beat the holy smokes out of this beast and nary a hiccup or wimper. It just keeps on trucking.

Dan, meant to say it's a Warmoth, so it's whatever trussrod they were putting in bass necks 17 years ago. I think they started doing the graphite reinforced about 10 years ago?
