Tech job on my 22 years old strat

So, I am beginning to change some parts in my SC strat.

Already put on a new Switchcraft mono jack, the one on it was calling it quits already.

Lucky me, I could get two spare ones of these at a local store. With the current state of events down here, American made parts are getting too expensive and hard to find:

This strat already has a blender thrown in, I'll leave it on, I like the tonal options it gives. The wiring will remain as it is.

Next are the pots. I was reading about this and ain't sure if I should go 500K or stick to 250s...

    Any thoughts?

What was wrong with the old Switchcraft jack? Just asking as I've never had one actually fail. Sure, I retention and clean up the contacts from time to time, but past that I never had any problems

The old one wasn't Switchcraft, I bought that guitar used, and it had an old and not so good one that was noisy
