Using the Tele on a Particular Song, for good reasons

I've been recording a song and orchestrating the instrumentation.

There's a cliche country lick that I want to use on the song, but it works perfectly and outside the country context, sounds pretty cool.

It has to be done on the Tele to get that pedal steel sound, and I was thinking, why not use this as a chance to teach and encourage my boy, a beginner.

So I showed him the lick, doubting he would be able to do it, but you know, worth a shot. He practiced it and practiced it, and by Jove, he got it.

I'm going to record him--it'll be a first for him and may encourage him.

The Tele is helping us to bond, helping him to grow confident and proud of accomplishment, and it's going to add a nice touch to my song. Love the Tele.
