    WNGD - Seafoam Content

So yesterday, I had the opportunity to play with regional act - the DelCats for Blues for the Cure - Under the Relay for Life

    GREAT day!!!!

I also won this guitar! (Raffle)
The cool thing is - Mike Zito, and Coco Montoya signed it at the shows I did sound for!
    Talk about serendipity!

    I LIKE it !!!!

Very cool git and some good signage to boot.

I've always liked those AM Specials w/the 70s head stocks.

Everyone should own at least one 70s style Strat!

    Thanks Guys -

Funny- I tried to stretch the strings, to tune up and play and broke my high E, and didn't have a spare set on hand!!!

I will pick up a couple of packs (had just restring the claptoon strat too weeks ago with the last set) to have on hand.

The little I did get to play it, it was pretty nice!

    Heh Heh Heh!!

This thing plays nice - still setting up - tweaking, etc.....

Tuners are die cast - I am so used to vintage style. I prefer vintage style but these are fine. Bridge is vintage style, blocked the trem, neck is straight.

as a bass guy, this is a little different for me, but as a guy who can play a little guitar, its nice. I have several six strings, and this is a keeper. It set up dead straight with no issues. I find it easy to play, and actually had to raise the action a smidge from factory to suit me. its mine, I can do that.

I can see taking this out to have a natural ball!!!

So I am still fine tuning the setup - funny how I hadn't done this in a little while, and it is taking a little longer to settle in than I thought.

Sounds great - plays great - just not "there" yet.

    Re: WNGD - Seafoam Content

I have had a few like that. The R7 I have was soooooo picky it took me MONTHs to get it close. I have more problems on ES's. Fortunately my Fenders came pretty decent. On the R7 I ended up doing what I now do on all of them. Truss rod no more than 1/4 turn a day, bridge posts no more than one turn a day. Based on the threads. Coarse less, fine more. Seems to work better that way for me. Back when I was repairing them no one wanted to wait that long. I'd always try to get 3 days on a setup. Usually got a half hour. Go figure.
