    Info on my 73 Strat

    Hello i have a 73 Strat 3 bolt maple neck serial number is 370092 this was taken from the neck plate ,looking for info on it such as body type Alder or Ash, its quite heavy and if there are new necks available for 3 bolt pattern ..

    The guitar's body is likely ash and equipped with the notorious cast Mazac bridge and saddles. If you need a replacement neck, Fender's contemporary MIM Classic Series 70s Strat can provide one. Your vintage "F-style" tuners will not fit the newer neck though without adapter bushings.

    So this is a couple days later -
    If you're not locked into an actual Fender neck, a few of the aftermarket companies will offer the option of 3 bolt or undrilled - set your own pattern - on necks.
    I can't say about fit - you'd have to talk to them about that. Warmoth, Allparts (I think theirs are Fender licensed) US Custom Guitars and a few others offer parts.
