Had a Mustang, couldn’t sell it fast enough! Just me, but it wasn’t a sound I liked. It was gorgeous, Seafoam Green with a matching headstock and Rosewood board. If you can find some pulled 70’s Mustang/DuoSonic/Musicmaster pups, throw it in the middle and or neck position of a Strat. They’re flat poles and mid 6K DC resistance. And they’re some of the sweetest sounding pups in a Strat. I had one in my Joe Perry Strat I built, totally regret selling that pup for something “better”! Cuz I couldn’t find anything better.

Dont feel bad Old Strummer-- it dont look like you broke 20 yet-- call me when you get to 30 we will compare notes ;)
The only time you really live fully is from thirty to sixty. The young are slaves to dreams; the old servants of regrets. Only the middle-aged have all their five senses in the keeping of their wits.

    23, actually.

    I've slowed down a bit.

Two's enough for me. I've decided I don't really need another.
Believe I'll just redo the Tele with some linear tapered pots, and some improved pickups. That's all I want.

Know an old man that has over 275 different Smith & Wesson revolvers. And he's always buying more. He can barely hit the target.
Then again I know another with just one and he's a supurb shot.
Yup, I got a semi-hollowbody with coil cutting HBs, and a solidbody with SCs. Yup, I'm good to go.

There’s collecting, and then there’s buying to use it. I’m really bad about getting stuff just to have it... I’m a borderline hoarder. Doesn’t help that I build and/or modify my own guitars! I set out to build stuff for sale, but then can’t bring myself to sell anything! LOL I should get a half decent semi hollow at some point. I’ve always wanted an Epiphone Casino. Or maybe a nice Gretsch, with sparkles and a Bigsby. Yeah, that should work. But tgen again, a Firebird 1 is intriguing to me. Oh, and let’s not forget about the Gibson Grabber I’ve always wanted. The last one to complete my list would be a sweet LP Jr, and that’ should be enough. Wait, you know a nice parlor acoustic would probably be handy to have... 😂

    Re: Squier Anyone?

In keeping with the drifted theme of this thread, and the original theme as well, I will eventually get another Strat. And it will be a Bullet model Squier too. That would make three. One more than even Nigel Tunful can play at once. Far more than plenty I think. yup... A Squier Bullet Strat.... Yup. Then I'm done..

I can't say anything about too many things really. I have 7 bows and can no longer shoot them as my right hand fails me now. Can't bring myself to part with em. A couple I've had well over half a century. One, the Nuge gave me back In '94. And it ain't leaving either. Nope, I got no room to talk.

    Re: Squier Anyone?

I still have all my bows too Ranger! I can’t shoot mine either, bum right hand also... My last one is on the wall in my Dad’s den, rest are out in his garage. They hold a lot of sentimental value and I could never part with them. I started shooting archery at 2 years old, was sponsored by PSE at 9. I wished I could still shoot my bow, but I don’t get sad about it. Luckily, I’m pretty handy with a rifle and have switched to solely shooting them. It’s neat to find another archer on here.

I like my Squiers. I have the Vintage Modified Jaguar, Jazzmaster, and '72 Thinline, as well as the Classic Vibe ('69 style) Thinline. I swapped the pickups in all of them, but that's not to say that the stock pickups were lacking.

I've got a CV50 Tele too, the one in my avatar. 2 weeks ago I bought a CV50 Strat and last week I put in a pre-order for a CV50 Esquire. I'm still in the hunt for a fiesta red CV60 Precision bass and I sure wouldn't mind one of those VM Fender VI by Squier.

Damn you. I've never really thought about an Esquire - actually I want a Tele with a humbucker in the neck, a la Keef's Micawber - but I made the mistake of looking up that CV50, and now I'm intrigued...
