I would prefer it with RW -
The color, the texture, the remainder as a std jazz -
I like the way it looks -

Well you just made me sit up and peer closer at the screen. I wouldn't mind me one of those! I like instruments where you can see (and preferably feel) the wood. £948 in the UK, a bit too much for me.
I have a Fender P-bass.
Frank, have you had a chance to see one of the sandblasted finishes in person?
There are a couple of sandblasted Stratocasters at the local music store which I've been able to check out.
You need to see one in person. On the one hand the texture of the sandblasting itself is cool and I do like it, on the other hand the finish they spray over top of it almost makes it look like it was molded from plastic. I want to like it. Maybe a thinner, satin finish would be better.
Just my opinion, which is worth approximately 2 cents!

I haven't seen one in person yet - but like the way it looks.
I also liked the limited run of ash body with walnut oil rubbed finish or something like that. This is a cool look and different. maybe when they get one in I will check it out - but honestly - I have to move something to get something - money be a little tight

Dude, you don't even know... I've always been a sucker for them. One of these days I'm gonna get a Lakland Duck Dunn in pink, seriously! P body with a bound and blocked J neck, AND a matching headstock? FORGET ABOUT IT!!!

Frank, I think that is my favorite Fender color, and I hate it that it wasn't available to me on the Fender bass and guitars I've owned. Trans crimson, I think. It's to die for with that black pickguard.
Ahhhhhhh gearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
If we'd known we were going to be the Beatles, we'd have tried harder.--George Harrison

I mean - I like a good sunburst - love a glossy sparkly finish - have a Hot Rod Red Jaguar, Natural blonde yamaha - but this just looks great to me!
not a great pic - but you get the idea
BTW - I wonder how that would look with a black pickguard
I am not a flashy guy - and it just looks good - like a good walnut monte carlo stock on an old Marlin!
I have a build - I assembled parts over a year and put together a hwy one, reggie hamilton neck - roadworn pups bass - and it sits in the no. 2 spot. I just like it - not fancy - but sets up nice and feels good.
THESE.......I like the way they look WAY too much!!!!
