    E series squier upgrades

    Hello everyone,

    This forums great, full of information. Was just wondering the upgrades people have done on these. i have an 87 thats great and was wondering what yall might have done(block, hardware, pots, ....etc). Hopefully people will chime in. thanks

    I have had a bunch of these since they were new.

    The stock pickups are really strong, though don't have the really chimey clarity of "real" Fender pickups. I do like them though.

    The switches and pots suck if you don't use them a lot. They tend to oxidize real bad so they get crackley and intermittent.

    You say yours is "great". No need to mess with anything.

    I've done tons of cosmetic mods to these since the mid 90s when I used to make "relics" out of them.

    My "pepto Strat" has an E series neck with a home made decal and Gibson Tuners. Body is Warmoth, bridge is Stock Squier.

    Yeah it's nice. Well made and resonant. Seems to lack a bit electrified though. Prolly get some rs pots and a cap and see from there. I don't really want to change much if I do. Thanks alot. That peptostrat is wild. Bet that neck pickup sounds great
