    6g15 build Reverb Unit

I built a 6g15 Stand alone re-verb unit, it works well with my 5E3 no hum at low volume or high volume when the amp and verb are about 12 to 18 inches apart. At a recent gig there was no room to place the the verb and amp separate therefore I placed the amp directly on top of the verb where a vibration or seems like a hum developed between the 2 units. It is OK at low volumes but at around 3 to 5 that's when it becomes troubling. It sounds like a 60 cycle hum somewhat. I did not use any shielded wires in the build I need to address this as we are scheduled to gig at the same place in a few weeks. Any suggestions???

A few things you might try:

Get yourself a Furman power conditioner and use it with both the amp and the 'verb.

Use high-quality instrument cables to link them together.

Cut a piece of Ľ-inch masonite to 18" x 12" dimensions, cover it completely in Reynolds Wrap, then use it between the two pieces as "insulation".
