    Where they really get you is the upcharge for partial finish removal and chemically aided premature corrosion.

    FWIW

    I did learn quite a bit about Rosewood stocks Brazilian and east Indian and different species variations, and the luthiers take on the wood too.

    Sorry if I was long winded off-topic and somewhat lacking knowledge in all this.

    That up-charge is the worst.
