MIM Telecaster body. Alder or poplar years?

Can anyone tell me when the mim teles went to alder bodies exactly? I'm looking at a 2006 solid color tele. I'd rather own the alder body. Thanks.

best to contact fender OR check the 2006 Frontline as they usually specify by model all the parts and materials

    +1

I know current standard Tele production is Alder, but not when the switch occurred. I do have a Poplar MIM 60s RI with Cray pups and neck that sounds awesome.

Fender MIM production went fully alder around 2001.

P.S. There's nothing wrong with poplar bodies.
