    Copped a '53 tele today!

    It's the first blackguard I've ever owned- quite clean, 1 changed pot & the tuners changed poorly & restored, but otherwise cherry-
    TONE for days!
    I tried a nocaster & a refinished broadcaster as well as the one I ended up with- the nocaster was UNREAL, light & live, CAKED with nicotine, it looked almost black! It was 100%- I'd have snagged it in a second (BIG bucks), except the neck was a bit too big for my wimpy hand-
    The other one, the refinned broadcaster, also had too big a neck, and wasn't magic in the tone department.
    But the '53 was just right! A sweet slimmer slightly-vee'd rounded neck, great pickups, moderate weight, and very live.
    Man, nothing responds like these things!

    I'll try & post some pics after the headstock restoration is done.

    The headstock restoration & frets should be done in a few days-

    Repro cases?

    Say, is anyone doing repro poodle cases or center pocket cases that anyone's heard of? (or any cool alternatives)
    This thing came with an Ibanez case, kinda chaps my ass to put it in there...

    The Nocasters are sold new with 2 cases. One of the cases is the retangular one the other is the old style poodle case.

    You can usually find these new old style poodle cases on Evilbay.
