New guitar photos! An out of the ordinary bunch!

This time we have a 1980 Gibson Sonex 180 Deluxe, and a Tiesco Del Rey.

The Sonex weights a ton! It's made out of a wood core and "ResinWood" covering the wood. The pickups are really hot, but not a huge amount of low end.

The Tiesco... When I owned this same guitar in red, my first electric, I thought it was a piece of junk. It was cheaply made, but it has it's strong points. It is super light, for one thing. It has a really nice warm tone. It sounds much better than I remember it sounding. The neck is very unique. made of of a bunch of thin wood slices glued together. The entire guitar is much better than I remembered it being.

I know there are quite a few that still like this guitar, so for nostalgic reasons, I shot the photos.

Hey - Is that a Jedson in the middle ? I bought one very similar to that in the 70's when I didn't know any better - I dumped it in a 2nd hand shop when I bought my first "proper" guitar - a Red MIJ Strat

When You point your finger 'cause your plan fell through, you've got 3 more fingers pointing back at you.

I'm not sure. There was alot of stenciling going on then, where one factory would make the same model for several companies, and let them badge the guitars themselves.
Hey,photoweborama,I still have that calender you sent me a few years back---truly sick guitar pics, the best I've ever seen.

I'm working on a new book, but on Bodie CA.
I'm still thinking of doing another guitar book and calendar, but I'm way too late to hit this year's cycle.

I have to release in August to make the new year cycle with the distributors.
