Replacement body for SRV Sig Strat.

I have an SRV Signature Strat and I like everything about it except the left hand trem. I'm thinking I could replace the body with one that has the same specs, but routed for a right hand trem. Since I've never looked at putting together a guitar, what should I be looking for?

Look for a Fender nitro finished AVRI 57 or 62 body on the bay - sometimes you can find fully loaded with the trem.

You can probably find one today but at top $ from the Stratosphere. If you wait it out and look around I have picked up an AVRI body for as little as 350 in good shape. Typical price is closer to 500.

If you want something lightly aged - this guy:

does great work. Just need to polish up the body real quick as its very matte. 10 mins with some fine instrument polish and it will look like new (old).

    Good luck!
