Just found my old VHS video of Dire Straits "Live in 85" Wembley show from the Brothers in Arms tour.. Classic ! Probably the best DS live show, on the final tour (On Every street) the band was too big & had lost the energy of the earler tours.

That's great. I've read about the piano barn and the whole process. In print, she described it quite evocatively. That was like seeing it all come to life. Cool.
The whole environment is like un-ProTools.
No one in their right mind would record in a breezy barn. But it was THE right move.
Amazing, almost effortless voice that's the perfect vehicle for her imagination.
