I use heavy strings (.11-.50) and recently one thing I have noticed by trying different strings is that the pure nickel strings (not nickel plated) are much easier to bend. Although not as bright as steel or nickel plated, the tension is much easier for my fingers to handle
D'Addario 10-46 Pure Nickel Wound, feels and sounds great for me and the playabillaty is very nice.
