I always wanted a Strat with P90's and a gold top. I decided to paint the back and neck too. Guard is a homebrew prototype, not great but I just wanted to try it out before settign up the CNC to make a "perfect" one.

I've played it live once and I am starting some recording with it. So far, it is honestly the coolest sounding guitar I have. I'm really pleased with how it worked out.

You have your own CNC machine?
Shoot, with the right controller you can CNC with an old Bridgeport. I used to be a honcho at a facility with 35 machining centers. Promoted a lot of guys that will still do government work for me. Pickguards are nothing. Send them a file created in Autocad and it's done in a few minutes during lunch break.
