Here's how this thread evolved. I was out mowing the grass and could smell "charcoal burning everywhere" which made me think of the song that Carol King wrote - which got me thinking about The Wrecking Crew which for some reason made me think of Carol Kaye.

So, just for grins I looked her up and see she has a cool website:
