Has you used Crate or Ross mixers?

Hi All,

From my other post, looking for a cheap mixer for our practice space...

I finding on Ebay cheap powered mixers from Ross & Crate. Has anyone used these mixers from the 90's.

I think the Crates' are made in USA. I know nothing about Ross Systems mixers, they might have been made in Texas.

As I've been watching on Ebay, a 6-8 channel powered mixer is going for cheap.

Any comments on these two brands? I'm always leaning toward Peavey though.

Some of the high-end Crate "Pro Audio" gear (ex-Audio Centron) is pretty capable but I was generally unimpressed with the line as a whole. I think the Peavey or Yamaha club-sized boards are built better and have more features for the $$$. YMMV
