    1971 Framus Atlantik (sp?) 6

    Speaking of "forgetting about features."

This Framus has some fogotten features.

    - Slim hollowbody w/a bolt-on neck
    - Euro-chic single coils
    - German engineered vibrato
    - zero fret w/spacer nut thingie
    - simulated f-hole
    - laminated neck

    I like it.

I like the single simulated F-hole.
    Several guitars in different colors
    Things to make them fuzzy
    Things to make them louder

Simulating two would have been silly.

Well, my old Tennesseean had two simulated F-holes. But, you're right, one would have been enough.

But Gretsch never did anything halfway.

Wonderfull guitar. I had a Framus hollow and it was excellent playing and excellnt tone. Wow! What a find! Ive got a old Harmony that doesnt really quite measure up to the Framus imo.

It looks to be in really healthy condition.
I've played some very worn out Framuses, (or is it Frami?), but they always seemed have been well made.

Jerry, you aren't the guy who posted phtots of Framus 12-string a while ago, are you?
    It was some european 12.
    Might've been a Hagstrom.

I had a '69 Atlantic with very different specs.

Real F-holes, different pickups and vibrato, different control layout.

It was pretty common for them to use the same model name on vastly different guitars.

I've got a bass version of the Atlantic pictured, but most literature gives it the "Caravelle" moniker...while the majority of the 60s Framus basses were labeled "Star Bass".

    Very confusing.

The sellers weren't very knowledgeable about it.
I asked whether is was a semi-hollow or had a block under the bridge.
They replied, "This is a really solid guitar!"

Someone bought it for the asking price, $385.
