    Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish Care?

    How do I care for my nitrocellulose lacquer finish on my hwy 1 tele?

    I know to keep it off of vinyl..what else do I need to know?

    finesse it 2 by 3m works great for keeping it polished up you can get it at a autobody supply store, this is a polishing compound not a wax.

    I "thinskined" mine with 600 wet and some auto rubbing compound,finished with gibson guitar polish.I over did a corner at the top where your arm would rub looks natural wear though.You will love that axe

    Keep it away from anything that's alcohol or petroleum based.

    This includes contact with bug spray and cologne. Bug spray will wreck the finish on contact. Cologne typically requires heavy used or repeated contact over time.

    Virtuoso Cleaner makes my Les Paul look almost new and Virtuoso Polish keeps it looking that way for a very long time.

    Im thinking that its not nitro but acrylic,probably be a little more durable
