Hello,
I was thinking of adding a Fender Bottle Opener to my Blues Junior Amp.
What do you think?
It is the basic black version so I do not think I will decrease the value at all.
I think that it looks kinda cool!

Those ought to be standard issue on all Fender amps.
I'd put it on my keys before beer went anywhere near my amps.
I don’t think that I would actually use it.
I just think it adds a little something extra to the mystic of the brand.
You can guarantee that if you put that on an amp that you take to a gig some dumbass will open some beer with it. You just can't legislate for stupidity.
Tommy.
Sometimes I'll bring a tilt-back stand just to keep morons from sticking their beer on top of my amp.

I guess that it why I am putting it on a black Blues Junior and not a Tweed or Limited Edition version.
With all of these Road Worn amps and guitars coming out, I thought a little extra oomph would make the amp look a little special.
It could use a little scratch and stain here and there.
Then I could sell it for the big bucks when it starts looking a little tatty!!
Maybe not my amp but definitely on my riding mower.
It kinda reminds me of the bottle opener on the bipod of the Israeli Galil rifle... 'Cause that's what you want, isn't it? Drunk soldiers with weapons!

If the walrus is Paul then who is Carmen Sandiego?
LOL!
i think every amp i own has a bottle ring on it... either from me or someone else.

I always have a drink of some sort on my amp. It's my table. It's always my own drink, though.
If someone else put something on my amp I wouldn't be pleased.
Maybe I should add a coaster to the top of my amps. The tweed is finished with shellac so I might try using some alcohol to see if I can brush it away.
How long until Fender offers a "road worn" Hot Rod Deluxe completed with cigarette burns and beer bottle rings?
s'all goof.
I think it looks stupid.
Nothing says fumbly-drunken-guitar-playing like a bottle-opener on an amp.
Clearly though, YMMV.
Tone is in the fingers, eh? Let's hear your Vox, Marshall and Fender fingerings then...
I thought that's what this amp was?
To tell you the truth, I've considered it.
I usually bring beer and a bottle opener to jams. Last night the host supplied the beer and we had to look for a bottle opener. The only problem is that drunk people would use it, possible making a mess or knocking something over.
If you pack the amp in your car to go practice or gig, it looks like a good way to gouge or rip the interior.
I'm just too used to amps and cases and whatnot being rectangular, with fat sides, nothing protruding.
I'd be banging that into all kinds of things. Walls, screen or glass doors, unsuspecting passersby.
It's a silly idea.

I think it is cool, but... it wouldn't be long before I would have a big bruise on my thigh from it. I seem to run into things, especially after a few beers!
What is even cooler is using a bent vintage corner protector - I've seen/used that.

I don't know why, that one had me rolling!
Phantom, I didn't know anyone else in the world had a thang for Liz Shue. I'll put a beer ring on yer eye for a chance at her!
Don, HBD, and how was that fine cigar?
Every time I think about the Cohiba I double up on others instead.
Fine indeed!
I wouldn't mind playing with Elizabeth Shue on my amp. But then, someone would have to take over the guitar...

I remember when my late great friend Ray had a bud longneck returnable tip over into his early 70's 100watt marshall head at a gig it did mess up some tubes we were young dumb and full of---- back in those days(1980). only thing sets on my amps are maybe some tuners and picks or a battery or 2.
For maximum battery potency, they should be kept somewhere cool, GM. Keep 'em in your gig bag or guitar case.

Maybe you mount it on a Strat...like...where the output jack is...

Chuckocaster, is this what you are looking for?
I found it!

I was at a jam at a friends house Friday and when I headed upstairs to find the bathroom there was a Fender bottle opener just like that sitting on the stairs.
