C shape neck on '55 reissue

    Hi guys,

I've got a thin skin '55 reissue Tele. I always try and give bigger necks a try but my small mitt starts to hurt after a while. I LOVE the neck on my thin skin '62 reissue Strat (which I think is a C shape) so I'm thinking of replacing the Tele's with an Allparts licensed medium C-shape.

It should drop right in, no? Could probably even use the nut from the '55 neck on the replacement?

I think it would make me love a guitar I like.

    thanks!
    Brian

the 62 c shape is hard to resist isn't it? the neck should drop right in, as for the nut though, i doubt it. but it's worth a shot, and to get a new one cut is only about 40 bones or so.

    good luck on your project.

Thanks! I had forgotten about the nut especially with the different fret size on each neck.
