All they had was the pinkish purple one. Made me feel like a girlyman if my eyes were open... not quite cool enough to be cool, and I couldn't pretend I'd bought it for my son!

But... it seemed like a decent low-budget option (unplugged at least) for a guy like me. I liked it better than the Mustang they had on hand.

    I like Mustangs:

Tone is in the fingers, eh? Let's hear your Vox, Marshall and Fender fingerings then...

This is cheap, and right near you I believe! (Clayville)

maybe you could put hands on it, and see what you think in person?

It could be a cheap - good find. New, they are $109......plus shipping

THis at least lets you touch it if it is close to you. Then, you can figure out if these are a good deal "for you".

not knowing what you want to spend, it makes it tougher.

There are so many good basses, and so many dogs.

I am suprised everytime I try one I never had a chance to check out before.

I am still considering the Allen Woody RumbleKat - by Epiphone eventually.

Of course I am like Capt. A.D.D. with this stuff.....but I have found a couple of keepers along the way.

i have a 78 musicmaster, which is a real sweety. it has a lawrence l250(?) in it. fat flats, it sounds pretty big. i used to play it in my college jazz band, it does sound pretty nice. maybe i should pull it out of the closet...

I had the same rig. Mine had that funky blue paint they used in '78 that fell off in big flakes.
    Several guitars in different colors
    Things to make them fuzzy
    Things to make them louder
    orange picks
