Brass replacement saddles for MIM 6 saddle bridge?

Does anyone sell replacement saddles for the 6 saddle MIM bridges? This tele is about 12 yrs old and sounds great. I think the stock saddles are steel, right? Brass would warm it up, smooth it out some?? Keeping with the 6 saddles and just changing to brass would allow me to get the tonal benefits but keep the intonation perks.

Or...should I just get a new 3 saddle bridge with slanted or compensated brass saddles?

Last ?, anyone know if a 12 yr old MIM bridge is "Am Std" or Vintage string spacing. It's a 4 hole mount.

    Thanks all.

Here's a pic of the stock bridge:

Are you sure those saddles aren't already brass? It'd be about the easiest and cheapest stuff for them to be machined out of.

Scratch the bottom of one to see if there's brass underneath the plating.

Just replace the whole assembly. Stew Mac sells a nice vintage style for cheap.

Good question...that's why I ask. I'm new to tele's figured this is to place to ask.

Would this "vintage" bridge work? What the difference in "vintage" tele bridges and the current standard? Is it just the 3 saddles or screw mounting locations or the string spacing or what?

    Someone fill me in please?

What you have there is a vintage style with six saddles. A three saddle replacement with brass barrels would most likely yield pleasing results.

Brass is nonmagnetic....I thought SS was also. Steel is, but SS?

That'll just prove that they're not steel or 400 series stainless (which is magnetic but wouldn't usually be used for guitar parts).

I put one on a MIM body from a Nashville that became my Esquire.
From my experience it sounded tighter and had better sustain. Plus, it looks bitchin'!
