    HRlx volume drop

Hi boy's, this Q maybe answered before :-0, but I post it anyway :
gtr inputs don't give any sound although the 3 tubes are glowing.
    pwr amp in works fine.
I presume it's the pre amp section that's causing the fault, but because of
the glowing pre amp tubes could this be a bad solder joint or a bad input (both worked fine before)
    any toughts are appriciated

Can you get sound out of the amp if you plug into the 'Pre-Amp In' jacks (F/X Loop)? Could be a number of things, but more info is needed.

Do a search with the search function on this site. I know that this has come up many times before.

that, of course, they are many in number; or that, after all, they are other than the little,
shriveled, meagre, hopping, though loud and troublesome, insects of the hour."

With the amp on and in a quite room, tap with your finger nail one of the to big 6l6gc output tubes, you should hear a clang/thud thru the speaker. If so at least the output stage is working and your B+ fuse is not blown.

Hi Steve and NTbluesguitar, I am impressed with your fast reply :-), some manufactuers are less responsive.

The output stage is working fine; I pressume it's the pre-stage.
After removing the backpanel there's no trace of melting
transistors or something like that. Because of the glowing pre stage tubes I think they are oke.

I did use the search function but couldn't get a satifactory answers :-0
