Yeah, he usually uses those on stage, but not to record (because they hiss).
I saw Pink Floyd's the "Dark Side of the Moon" tour in the 70s at Milwaukee County Stadium and was impressed however, the concert was marred a bit by rain and they waited some of the rain out.
It was a treat to see Echoes performed live before they went into the DSOTM stuff. Saw them again at the Rose Bowl for the Division Bell Tour and it was a lot more slick with tons of added musicans and it didn't ring my bell.

I felt the band was past its prime and perhaps sold out a bit. It was a bit of a disappointment. What I was seeing was a big slick corporate show band without any soul. I think Gilmour's later tours brought back some of the earlier passion but not the earlier magic.
Kapn, that's exactly why I haven't made the effort to go see the Stones as well ;-)
HIGH ALL, 1970[i think] band of gypsies, filmore east 2nd row center balcony behind the flag. the bass was so loud that you could almost not hear it, but you sure could feel it thru the floor and armrests. man that was a long time ago.
The Miles Davis Bitch's Brew Tour. I was 18 and knew only Venture songs, what a brain opener. I was humbled and motivated, I hope that I still am. Greg Koch & The Tonekings at a bar was excellent.

woah, zombie thread I was reading the first post. "40 years ago ..." and they were talking about 1968? Then I saw the post date. Oh, so that makes sense now

I came across this thread while researching something else, and Roger's reply made me want to inquire him about the experience.
I joined in 2008. Man, I'd forgotten some of those guys. I used to enjoy Erock's posts a lot. Good old Cygnus X too.
