    Small Clone or Electric Mistress?

I am in the market for a new chorus and was looking into both the Small Clone and Electric Mistress (yes, I know the latter is a chorus/flanger). Do any of you have any experience with either and possibly offer some advice as to wheter one is better than the other or if both should be avoided?

I've owned them both - and would opt for the Mistress - the filter matrix setting is great. However, if I was picking an E-H box, I'd pick the Poly Chorus.

I am glad you brought that up. I was lookiing at the new Electric Mistress online and they don't seem to have the switch! They have chorus depth, flanger depth and rate but no switch! So now what? Incidentally, what other chorus effects do you recommend other than EH stuff?
(I've got a fulltone choral/flange on one pedalboard but want something different for another I'm building)

+1 on the Polychorus if you are wanting to go with EH. The Small Clones are not true bypass (not sure if the Polychorus is either, for that matter) but my Small Clone is somewhat of a tone sucker and a little noisy with the pedal in the signal chain unengaged. It does get some nice thick chorus though.

Any thoughts on Visual Sound unit? I played a friends once and it seemed pretty nice (not the Chorus AND Echo, just the Chorus one). When I get around to adding a Chorus, I'm seriously considering it.

I've never tried the Poly Chorus (it is expensive) but as it happens I have been looking in to the Visual Sound but didn't know if it was "Chorusy" enough.

The H2O is awesome! I've been through many chorus pedals (including the mistress) and I have settled on the Visual Sound H2O. The echo is a very nice bonus. Two effects in a relatively small space. It's still smaller than the vintage Electric Mistress.
    s'all goof.

Have you ever tried or heard the single chorus from Visual Sound? I think it's the Liquid Chorus V2

The small clone is great, but I'd prolly go with the Mistress, just sounded better to my ears.

I found an old era Pearl chorus cheap in a local guitar shop.

Sounds like all the 80's records. If you can score one, they're great.
    Several guitars in different colors
    Things to make them fuzzy
    Things to make them louder
    orange picks
