anybody play guitar thru a '60's Fender 2x15 bass cab?

just curious, thinking of picking one of these up, but I've heard they're not great for bass? how about for gtr?

I know Hendrix used one at Monterey as well as his Marshalls.....

    thx!

Aren't those Fender cabinets way huge? Granted, it may not be a folded horn or anything fancy, but I don't see why it would not do a good job if it was loaded with good speakers.

I used two Fender Dual Showman Reverb heads each with it's own 2X15" cabinet with D130f speakers back in 69'-70'. That was a huge sound with plenty of tonal range! I played strictly lead and rhythm in those days... I switched to Marshalls in 71' since we were playing more British rock and I was looking for that sound. It's a great cabinet!... Big... Heavy..., but worth the strain. I wish I had em now.

    Buy it.
