1x12 Hot Rod Deluxe tranny replacement - safety issues?

Hi all,

I am replacing the transformer on my hrdlx with a mercury magnetics axiom (model number FBFS-O40M, their recommended swap). I am here to ask of any relevant safety issues you learned gentlemen may be aware of in swapping these out.

I know to discharge the caps, but what else could go wrong? (Other than not following the axiom wiring diagram.) Any special hints or instructions (warnings)?

I am not an amp guru, but you may get faster response over atthe LPF. This is not a slam for this place, but lately there is more "action" over there. Good luck either way...

unplug from the ac, discharge all electrolyic caps, remove all metal jewelry, and if possible keep one hand in your pocket.

sort of words to "live" by.

I have gotten proper instructions for this replacement. That last post pretty sums up what I found out, except to make sure I don't mix up the taps.

The tranny needs safety too.
