Now if we can get you to stop LINKING US to them!

Anybody have any line on when they'll have more of those tele clones with the P-90-type pickups in the neck position?

For a while they had those blue ones, but I'd love one in natural, SB, black, etc.

I actually e-mailed them about that, and it seems that it's going to be awhile:

"The STL with the P90 in powder blue will sell out shortly. I don't expect any more in, in any color until 2009."
    Double-thanks, Rondo!!!

Honestly, I started looking at MIM Standard Tele bodies as a result, as the neck p/u rout may allow for a P90. Not sure, though.

I don't think a P90 would fit without a wee bit of, ahem, persuasion (ie. chiselling). I had to remove some wood to fit a Filtertron to my tele and it's a bit smaller than a P90.

ziess- did you use a MIM Std body?

I used one (not sure of the year) but I'm pretty sure an HB would fit.

I only altered to get the mini into a particular location.

Probably not the most informative angle, but there's certainly room for a larger p'up.

How much bigger is a P90? As you can see, I have little experience with them.

    According to Duncan:

    P90
pickup cover length: NECK 3.365 BRIDGE 3.365
pickup cover width: NECK 1.365 BRIDGE 1.365

    Mini HB
    width: 1.086
    length: 2.577

TV Jones offers the its TV'tron in many configurations to fit typical mounting/rout situations.

I suppose with some careful routing and a coat of shielding paint, we'll be none the wiser to the mod.

    Mine was a more traditional rout than that. More like this;

I guess they've changed a bit since 1992 then! I assumed that all tele neck routs were the same, obviously not.
