That is my old Conn Strobe Tuner, purchased new in 1980 or 81, and still sits on my workbench after 28 years of full time service....repairing and restoring guitars and other fretted instruments for a living. Power capacitor was replaced in 2001.

    Conn ST-11

Thanks Tommy, that is my first attempt at building an amp cabinet. I had the chassis and a black face plate around the shop. I built the cab for a Weber 10" alnico speaker and play with a Boss RV-5 and an MI Audio Crunch Box. Nice recording rig.

Actually, the 'BFPR' is really just my old 68 blackline PR with a new faceplate and 12" baffle (with an Eminence RWB). I didn't want to pull the original drip edging and grille cloth off the original 10" baffle so I just gave it a cosmetic makeover (along with a Stokes mod).

It is now my primary gigging amp, too.

The Old Flame is awesome as well (but just a 'weeeee' bit heavier).
Tone is in the fingers, eh? Let's hear your Vox, Marshall and Fender fingerings then...

I noticed that, too. Lots o' tweed.

g6210, are the two in the back HR DeVilles, or a Bassman and Twin? What's that lineup?

    hello fellas

bassman , twin - reverb reissie - deluxe , pro which when i bought my 55 telecaster that was part of the deal , ampeg bass amp

on the other side of my studio not shown
    bandmaster 52 , deluxe 58 , super 56 those are tweeds as well and a ampeg b12 bass amp i believe thats a 65

in the middle a fender amp i use for the piano and drum machine - on each side of that two mackie speakers i use for a pa which i are 500 watts

i remember when black tolex fender amps first arrived all my friends wanted the new amps so i was happy to buy the tweeds from them .

What I think is amusing...g6120 has all those tweeds, and he still has a Vox ToneLab! I guess it must really be that good!

    Re: amp pics.whats yours.

    yes indeed good eyes !

the vox tonelab which i use but not often its gotta preamp tube in it .

i also have a re-20 space echo made by boss which is used from time to time but for the most part i play with a fender reverb straight away in a tweed amp .

of all the amps ive ever played i gotta say the tweed deluxe is the best amp and if there had to be just one that would be it . the most touch sensitive amp my ears have ever heard without question .

see your from rochester been down to the h.o.g. lately :)

    Re: amp pics.whats yours.

    The usual "wall of boom"......

From R to L: late '67 (AB763) drip-edge Bandmaster with matching cab (I'm the second owner); '78 Twin Reverb (UL chassis) with factory orange-basket D-120Fs; '99 BF Twin Reverb RI retro-fitted with K-120 JBLs; mid-70s Bandmaster cab (last of the "big" enclosures); a HRDlx, which is now thankfully history.

My "porch weasel from hell"......Stage 100 DSP with matching DT-112 cab. A pair of Celestions with 160 watts RMS an' not much bigger than a Princeton settin' on a barstool (my wife calls it the "micro-stack").

My new "main squeeze"; the Fender Spankmaster Reverb Amp. A mildly hot-rodded DRRI chassis in a bigger blond box, with a JBL D-130F. The wife just finished building me a cover tonight by completely dismembering a Vibro King cover, adjusting the three pieces to fit, then re-assembling it -- looks jus' like store-bought an' even sez "FENDER" on it.

Do you guys ever worry that thieves might peruse these forums looking for someone with a nice collection to rip off? I've built most of mine so they wouldn't bring as much to a thief as some of you that have a large vintage collection, but it still makes me wonder at times how wise it is to put that info out there. What do you guys think?

The colors are a little funky, but it's what was once a '66? Bassman head, rewired as a 50W Marshall, in a blonde/oxblood 1x12 cabinet.

It's my 'meathead' guitar. It sounds and plays fine, even though the neck is a little narrow. I threw a super distortion in there, and use it live to play any 'guitar hero' songs that might come up. It's my reminder that I don't need any of the other fancy stuff to sound good.

Just bought this Fender HRDlx off eBay for $360. This is also an American made. It was made in '96. Pretty much in mint condition. I added a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker to it. I'm not sure if I like the sound of the Celestion in there... I think I'm gonna try some more Eminence speakers.
