    Forgot to add that the saddles in the pics have been changed out to the big fat brass ones.
    Fender shipped with the wrong saddles and corrected it.

    Saw this over at The Gear Page. Amazing looking guitar, is it considered Honey Blonde? I love it with the white guard and maple neck, just a perfect combo in my opinion.

    Congrats and enjoy!

    Dave's just calls it Blonde.
    There are so many Blondes and whites it can get confusing.

    Got a vintage white Esquire in my sights too.

    It's blond. White is white and Butterscotch is well, Butterscotch. But that's blond.

    Hey! I'll bet that's why Dave's calls it Blonde.

    I realize its a blonde. I have a honey blonde Tele, and it's just a bit lighter than that. I should have said I love blonde and white blonde Teles.

    My bad.

    Well it's 3:30 AM and I just got in from work.
    It came a couple of hours after I went to worl.

    The tag says, "Vintage Blonde".

    Plays very smooth ,the neck is perfect, and it's light.

    Three things I don't like;
    The neck pocket while not too bad is not that tight- a small gap on each side.

    The neck pickup is installed at a 15% foward angle.

    The finish kind of looks like a Gibson VOS finish instead of the nice sunk into the grain finish that my '52 Relic has.

    Like I said, it plays great but I'm not sure if I going to hang on to it.

    It's also has a very rounded router hump unlike the flat sharp angle on my '52 Relic.

    Just took a look in the neck pocket while holding it up to a light fixture.
    I can see all the way down both sides of the neckto the baseof it a gap with no body wood touching either side of the neck at all.

    I'll pack it up in the morning and try again.

    " Three things I don't like;

    "The finish kind of looks like a Gibson VOS finish instead of the nice sunk into the grain finish that my '52 Relic has." Yep my 52 relic from Daves has the same " sunk in" look and it is VERY authentic .

    I hear ya ...Having your 52 be more authentic looking, and with better fit and finish , surely gives you reason to know what the CS is capable of , sorry to see that this one wasn't as high in detail.

    i was eyeballing this guitar at dave's for a few days before you posted here and had them send me some closeups and then i noticed your thoughts on this platform so i kinda held off .

    as it stands i went ahead and got the fender 55 masterbuilt fleming telecaster which i recieved in one day after it was payed for .

    soon as i got it out of the case the magic was there great action and tone to die for . very light which i prefer so i made the right decision prior sending the 58 heavy relic back which i recieved a week prior .

    the only problem i have now is putting it back down once i pick it up well thats what the wife says

    Me too, but I think they look a little meaner with a black (single ply) pickguard.
