Fender ultimate chorus a good amp??

Got a chance to get an earlier USA made Fender ultimate chorus; 2 x12" blue label Fender speakers; 100 watts or so I guess. Have not had a chance to play it out------Does it have good clean tone and how does the chorus sound? Good for jazz and 60's stuff via a strat? Thanks!!

I borrowed one from a friend when I first started gigging. All I remember was that it was loud as shit, and clean as shit. It is a solid state after all. I remember the chorus being mediocre.

    What's the price?

I think that amp was Fender's answer to the Roland Jazz Chorus. The Jazz Chorus is still, in my opinion, a superior amp. It's an industry standard amp for clean solid state amps. The Fender Ultimate Chorus is not.

I don't mean to pee in your Cheerios. I'd just caution you to play that amp before you buy it. Maybe it does what you need.
    s'all goof.

On that other forum I think there are a number of people who are pretty fond of that amp.

The later version of it sucks. The original is wonderful.
